After The Meal
I'm so full I feel like I could explode.
Chael made a delicious anniversary meal, as always. The broccoli was to die for.
He said wonderfully sweet things to me and we discussed things we liked and things we could work on in our relationships. Then just general chatting.
A lovely evening.
He's now cleaning up and we'll do a back rub for me in a little bit.

Massage
Chael and I retrieved the massage table from the storage facility on his urging. He wanted to set it up in the livingroom so that we can use it for my daily massages.
It seems to be working out pretty well, over all.

Heights
In the kitchen earlier something occurred to me.... I had Chael kneel and hug me around the waist like we sometimes do.
With our heights that puts his face exactly between my breasts.
This realization occurs after a failed attempt to surprise force him to kneel; I grabbed his collar and started to pull him towards me and down... And he just turned and started to hug me and I gave him a disgruntled hug back.
"What's the matter?"
"I was pulling down"
"Why?"
"I was trying to make you kneel"
"You gotta pull harder"
He wasn't being an ass, he was joking because he totally missed what I was trying to do.
There go some of my Dom Points.
lulz.
Relating to the kitchen part, he just came in to tell me he's mostly cleaned the kitchen and may be making the orange sauce for tomorrow's Fall Anniversary Meal tonight. And now he's in his room tinkering with the guitar I bought him last Christmas.

Three Current Rules
Three things:
Veganism
Hydration
No Diet Pop
I've been working with Chael on these for a while and he,s recently been doing very well on them.
He chose to go lacto-ovo veggie about 7 years ago, about a year after I did, due to his Buddhism. I've long since made the transition to vegan and have been trying to get him switched over, too. He'd do we'll for a bit, then fall back, over and over. I could appreciate this as I had a hard time transitioning. I told him again a few weeks ago that I seriously want him to make the change now.
So far, so good. His approach has been much different this time and that's been the key difference. In the past I've expressed that I'd prefer he be vegan and he's made an effort toward trying. This time I told him that I seriously wanted to make the change now. So, a bit after we were in the veggie meats section picking up some things and we got only the vegan stuff... We walked away and he said, "I guess I'm vegan now?" I said, "yep!" And he's been vegan. He's taken it on as something he is rather than something he's trying.
I'm very proud of him.
Chael has a bad habit of not drinking enough water and instead living on regular soda (pre-diabetic) or diet soda (diabetic). So he's "under orders" to drink water instead. He bought a bottle for it and so far drinks at least one a day. After he's well in the habit I'll up his daily requirement.
So far so good.
As mentioned above, he used to drink WAY too much soda. When he found out he was diabetic he switched to way too much diet soda. As artificial sweeteners are unnecessary to ingest and may have negative effects on health and weight (which he's trying to lose) he's not to regularly drink anything with artificial sweeteners. He does now once in a great while, but it's not at all the norm.
It's coming along well.
And, with a sudden loud burst of Gangnam Style from his room, I'm ending this note.

Oh my...I have to compliment you on those needles to the back..wow, very creative. How long does one of those take to do? Must be hours?
RumpusParable on 11/19/12 at 4:21 PM:
Hello and thank you. The longest any have taken was 3 hrs 10 min. But those are the really big ones on Redeye (the black bottom). The smaller ones I do on others usually take about 30-45 minutes.
Him on 11/19/12 at 4:22 PM:
I am very impressed....it must take tons of patience and hand eye coordination. On your profile, you mention moving to the east coast, is that this spring?
RumpusParable on 11/19/12 at 4:56 PM:
Yep, around that timeframe, maybe a bit earlier. We're just waiting to see how slow/fast my husband's retirement paperwork goes through.
Him on 11/19/12 at 4:58 PM:
Retirement? How old is he?
RumpusParable on 11/19/12 at 4:59 PM:
Yup, he's 41. Did his 20 years of Army service.
Him on 11/19/12 at 5:00 PM:
Does he know you are searching for subs?
RumpusParable on 11/19/12 at 5:02 PM:
Yep, says so in my profile.

Ah, profiles so hard to read and , ah, oh so hard when finding females who are honest with their partner(s).

Morning Cuddle
Chael got home from PT at 7am.
After getting undressed and all he came into my room and expressed he wanted to cuddle. We'd missed last night's bedtime curl-up as he went to bed before 10pm and, well, I never did.
So we proceeded to have a lovely cuddle.
Our normal configuration is spooning on our right-hand side with him as the big spoon, his right arm stretched out under my pillow and holding my right hand. His and my left arms wrap around my waist.
So we're lying there relaxing, enjoying the spooning. It's a nice time of warm bodies, closeness, gentle touches, and teasing comments... Such as:
(he starts moving his legs around and pulling around the blanket)
Me: what are you doing? (wondering if he's getting up)
Him: I'm adjusting the blankets
Me: okay
(he gets the blankets how he wants and returns to spoon-position)
Him: sweaty girl
Me: I'm not sweaty, you are
Him: that's what you always say
Me: cuz it's true!
Him: then why is there sweat on you?
Me: because your touching me!!
And so after a laugh we go back to relaxing with him sometimes drawing circles on my back or running his hand down my left arm.
Then Jonesy sees what's up and decides he wants all in on the cuddle action.
Eventually we turn so I'm the big spoon.
Eventually, we get up.
And then he went and filled my tea cup again.

In The Beginning...
...Rumpus said, "Thou shalt have sleep".
And the universe laughed, establishing once again that she was not yet God.
I've been up all night. Chael was asleep so I sat here for hours thinking every 15 minutes or so that I was thirsty and would get up in a little bit to refill my tea glass.
Yeah, at about 4:30am Chael filled it for me as he was getting ready for work.

vegan Chael?
I went lacto-ovo veggie, then a while later he went lacto-ovo.
Years later I went vegan (about 1.5 years now) and he is this week trying his first go at veganhood.
I've never pushed him to cut more animal products out as I have as I've felt that such choices had to be his own to be solid... but I've been so proud of him becoming veggie and hoping he would go vegan; now it seems he might.
He also wants to join me in eating less processed foods (I rarely eat such at home when I've no guests).
I'm so proud of him. :))

Chael/Grey and slavery
I called him today and said "I know you hate the word but I'm going to use it right now because of what I want to say.... I think you're a really good slave".
He replied, "I think so, too".
squee.
13 years of being a slave to me but hating the words "submissive" and "slave" and last month he acknowledged being submissive to me. Today he accepted the word "slave" as applied to him and took some pride in it.
I love the changes he's making in this and being able to talk about them more than vaguely (I was always vague and used different wording out of respect for his feelings... I didn't care what words we used so long as the relationship was what I wanted).
He always and continues to make me so proud.

Austin if not moving, then moving
We still have no word on when/whether we're doing a full PCS move in the next month, sigh. If we do, we could go anywhere in a very short amount of time.
If we don't move for some reason, then Chael and I are leaning towards me moving to Austin so that we're closer (and I get to nom on the awesome vegan food there). I want to stay in a city but want to be closer to him.
This means more distance between friends I care a lot about, but I could still visit them. I'll work out some schedule with them that I can maybe come stay a couple days here and there. We'll see what works for them.
I found some really nice apartments online for Austin, so am kinda excited about that. We'll see what they *actually* look like on visiting sometime.

Done
My friendship and relationships with Hillary and Scott are done. I'm not even angry or sad, just done. A bit relieved in some ways as it was becoming too drama filled for my tastes.
I tried today to do the right thing and return some of their sheets they left here and the mattress their friend Brian had loaned me through them, but even though Scott's car was there no one answered the door.
On other things, someone broke into Chael's GA house and we need to go later this month sometime to fix a bunch of things wrong... the door itself, the A/C unit to the central air that got stolen, the keyless lock on the garage door, etc.
I'm going to Floating World in about a week and a half and will see Patrick and others from Camp. Should be awesome fun. The classes look really good and some are by familiar faces, plus Fakir Musafar will be there doing a couple and a speaking bit on his life. Interesting.
So life is pretty good, despite some changes and the house nonsense. We'll take care of it and it'll be fine.
I'm feeling pretty good for me right now.

Awwwww
Chael is driving up to stay tonight with me. He has to go back tomorrow because he has duty Saturday. Bleh.
But it's SO sweet he's driving up just for the night. I think he misses me :D
We're planning to make pizza with the vegan cheese we found (Daiya brand, holy cow is it good... melts like real cheese and tastes good, too! Who'd've thunk??!!)...but I actually want to go to sushi. Hm.
Bad news: The GA house got broken into. Chael is pissed and understandably so. The house has been on the market 2 years and he's getting fed up with this realtor, the A/C recently got stolen and now the backdoor has been busted in. Neither of the last two are the realtor's fault, it's just part of the house sitting there this long. We need a new realtor and we're hoping he house is covered for all this. Doubt it, but hoping.

Thinking about me and us
Been talking a lot on the forums here lately and thinking a lot about Chael since he'll be home soon. These are some things I've long been aware of but haven't so much said here before (though they can be gleaned from my various posts, I'm sure, or if someone spends much time with me):
I am inherently selfish. I am incredibly self-centered and ego-centric. I am extremely introverted. I am highly possessive and in many areas very uptight. I am a slut. I rarely care about anyone other than myself, but when I do I tend to care too much. I am clinically hypersexual and have to work hard to not overwhelm my partner(s). I am intensely sensitive to being picked on or laughed at, but in most cases hide it so as to function around others.
I am not very verbally affectionate, I express myself more via physical and sexual affection, and again take great pains to try not to overwhelm others with it. I am terrible at flirting and banter. I am very good at discarding people I find no longer healthy for me. I am unusually independent and value my individuality above almost all else. I'm not very trustworthy except where I absolutely am.
I am controlling, mostly of myself but also of those who will let me be (that I care about). I always want/need too much from people I care for. I am not much of a talker, much more a listener. I hate confrontation and do not handle it well. I am a sucker for genuine-seeming compliments and actions. I've always been one to push myself too hard.
I view gifts of flowers with distrust, but still love to get them. I am very protective of the few people I let matter to me. I've got an oh so common weakness for kittens. I get a feeling of validation in my relationships from PDAs that I can't get with private affection. I detest anything that makes me feel like a "mommy" to someone or something. I always feel I can do something better myself except where I'm sure there's no way I should be doing it at all.
I have little patience for anything I see as immaturity or cruelty. I really wish I could have a dog. I torture myself imagining horrible what-ifs of my spouse or cat dying. I love being in the hospital, and while I usually cite the smell and sheets and my medical/objectification kinks, it also is likely tied to it being the only time I feel safe/justified to need taking care of.
I'm still afraid of octopus attacks and the swiggly life on ocean reefs, but at the same time love snorkeling. I don't think I have a favorite food. In fact, I'm not sure I can narrow anything down to a single favorite something besides Chael being my favorite person. My "favorite color" isn't actually my favorite color (story behind this). I love to dance though I'm sure I look foolish when doing so. I have a very dry word-and-wit-based sense of humor and tend to come off very dorky when I attempt to be otherwise funny.
I'm a traveler by nature and don't see myself settling down anywhere until my 50s, if then.
And while rather quiet in real life, I am obnoxiously verbose in type.

Buddhist thunderbolt
Am having a wonderful relaxed time with Chael while he's home on leave. We've done a lot of fun and practical things.
It's destroying my sleep schedule, though, lol. I've had one hour of sleep and now am awake again while he snores away. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to bed soon and pass back out. We'll see.
We've done 3 cuttings on him so far and here is a picture of the most recent:

Tomorrow we put together cheap furniture and my suspension rack in my bedroom. I'm wondering how it's gonna fit (I know it will fit, but how well and how overwhelming it is is a worry).

Mohawk and completely random stuff
I miss my mohawk. A couple of times now I've had to stop myself from shaving my head again to one.
But, I have plans for a little bit longer hair and it's too cold right now for bare scalp, anyhow (for me, at least).
But, again, darnit I liked how I looked and felt with it. So, tentative plan is to keep growing out my hair and fiddling with it, then go back to the mohawk when the heat here sets in... because I *really* can't handle all this hair during the heat after knowing how comfy having it cut off was.
And by then, the sides and back will be nice and long for my mohawk.
Yes, I'm a little punchy about now. I am so tired.
Only 2 more days til Chael starts looking for a plane flight!!!
Oh, and I found a site online that sells nighties, pvc, and stockings for bigger girls so I plan on getting some stockings soon (a few pair as I rip them like nobody's business) and maybe a cute PVC shirt or jacket or something.
Also, I bought some swatches of vegan "leather" for Quin to look at and see if he can make me some gear out of the stuff (I already have a wristband made of it that is rather basic but nice). I'd like to start switching over my BDSM gear to vegan-friendly stuff.
I'll keep my leather goods I already own, of course, and use them til they fall apart; then, I'll replace items with preferred alternatives one by one. But, it would be nice to get some paddles and collars and cuffs and such made now.
Heck, I may have him teach me very basic sewing of (faux) leather so that I can make more fashion accessories like my bracelet. I need a few loooooooong belts of various looks and I can't find any in the sizes I want (I want them long enough to sling around my hips loosely, not go around my waist).
Ooooooo, and I found some pretend-leather airborne style boots and a couple other higher-calf styles at veganessentials.com that look yummy. But that'll be a while before I purchase any of them as they are Expensive!
Also, Chael's and my tax refund is quite good this year and my half will be going towards finishing organizing my closet and bedroom (not much money needed there, but tax return makes it easier) and then getting some microdermals or/and a tattoo. Maybe instead of the tattoo I'll see Lady Shivers about branding the skull and crossbones on my leg that I want... Decisions...
I'm rambling again due to the tiredness. Just trying to stay awake. Shutting up now.

Packers arrived
Am waiting on Chael's deployment date. He'll be leaving soon for a year. In the meantime, we're spending oodles of time together and making plans for after he's back.
I have a meditation weekend coming up for Kriya yoga. I need the reminder of the asana sequence as I've forgotten due to falling out of the habit.
The two packers I ordered arrived today. I like the smaller one better... the 6" one is too long and flopsy, feels and looks silly to me. The 3.5-4" one I'm wearing right now seems right for a "limp dick". Not something I'll wear often, but great for genderfucking fun. Next month I think I'll order that STP from djknowsdick.com. These two are made out of cyberskin material and feel fairly correct in texture and squish (especially the shorter one, the longer is a bit floppy and squishy, as mentioned), but are a little too light in weight for realism. Not bad for fun, though.
I'm so tired today, ugh.

To NY
Am starting out either tonight or tomorrow morning to visit my family in NY. Sister has had an operation and asked that I come visit during her recovery period and I said, "sure".
Should be fun. Mom said we're all gonna go up to the Corning Glass Works to tour the museum one day and then another day maybe go wine tasting (which my sister isn't much for, not being a wine liker, but mom pointed out to her that she's such a lightweight that she'll be drunk and happy in no time so she'll have a good day regardless). Having grown up close to there, I've been to the Glass Works a few times -most recent with my spouse a couple years ago, his first time- but I'm looking forward to it. It's always very interesting to see and mom and sis and I have never gone together.
I'll mostly be bumming around my sister's house while mom is at work, laying about, watching tv and chatting with her while she takes it easy. Mom says she's healing well, so far, though. Had a slight hiccup where she had to go back in and have an abscess dealt with, but otherwise good.
I'm going to stop at the VA Safari Park on the way up. I've not done that in years and years. So cute and so stubborn and smart, those zebras and such.
Leaves are starting to drop from the trees up there, mom says. Should be pretty with fall colors starting. I miss that and am looking forward to it.
Went to Atlanta's Six Flags yesterday with Chael. Didn't make it the whole day, got worn out by adrenaline and too much heat/sunshine. God, it was blazing and horrid. I swear the UV has gotten stronger since I was a kid... I used to be able to look almost at the sun back then, now I can't barely stand to look at the horizon... the sky is just painful. And to walk around in it makes me so tired and sick feeling. I was always sensitive to sunlight like that, even when young, but now it's much, much worse.
The "Scream Machine" is a piece of garbage, painful garbage. Not worth riding.
The "Goliath" is great and has wonderful repeated zero-gee moments.
Those are the two extremes.
I cut my hair off last night at about 3am. I've a "faux-hawk" of sorts. I've the "chelsea cut", as others have told me it's called, around my face as I like it; a full mohawk; and the sides are shaved to 1" in length and moussed upwards towards the 'hawk. I'm debating shaving them all the way off, as I really liked it that way before, but I went this route first to see how I'd like my hair with a leetle bit left on the sides... I can always shave it the rest of the way off, growing it in is a bit longer taking.
I'd like to add some accent color like purple to it before I go to my mom's, but don't know if I'm going to bother... it's still 2 shades of green right now.
Domestic should be here soon to do my car, gotta get the hose ready..... wait, no, I'll just have him move it when I take him on the backyard tour today, what was I thinking?

A couple of pictures
Just sharing a couple pictures from this weekend: the light test cutting and piercing I talked about in my earlier post. Please note, if you are squeamish at all, there is blood showing.
Also, a safety note:
My bottom and I are completely fluid-bonded so many of the normal safety steps were not taken in this sharing. I simply prepped his skin and my hands and then used sterile blades, needles, and drapes.
When working on anyone who I am not blood-bonded with I use sterile tools, barrier methods and sanitization steps. Please do so yourself, for both your and your partner's safety.
When blood-bonded, please still take steps to sanitize the skin and use sterile tools at the least. Especially in piercing play, and moreso the deeper you go with it. While there are (usually and presumed) no blood-borne pathogen issues there are still bacteria that are of no great concern on the surface of the skin but can be very nasty inside a puncture wound.

Weekend
I'd a lovely weekend.
I was (rope)suspended for the first time, which was floaty and fun, by Artemis. I also learned a new chest harness and Chael, my spousal unit, started getting familiar with ropes.
Chael let me cut him for the first time and also tried out play-piercing at my hand. On the cutting, we were tinkering to test how well he could take it as he's volunteered to be my demo-doll in October, he did great... I started with just some light random cuts to let him get the feel and then played around a bit with a pattern once it turned out he was fine with it.
The play piercings, well, he's been excellent in the past allowing me to do permanent-style piercings in him for work practice/experimentation/portfolio-building, but we'd never done just random temporary play before. Again I just stuck a few in, quite shallow but in varying lengths to see how he'd do. Chael didn't like it, but he was okay with it.
He's not so much a bottom as just a good sport, haha.
Saw some old faces, met some new. Enjoyed chatting, laughing and lounging with a few particulars. Not sure who is okay with mentions and linkings so will keep such to myself until a later time.
Lots of other goodness... The only things that marred the time was Chael coming down suddenly with a nasty cold and my kidney pain. Both of which were able to be worked-around: for my part, I "sucked it up and drove on" as the Army saying goes; for his part, Chael slept a lot.
